Cubieres is a small village of 60 inhabitants, its typical of the Lozere and Cevennes and its good to be here.

Its old houses are built of local granite and sandstone and the roofs are of ‘Lauzes’, uniquely shaped local stone.

The Altier and Rieutort rivers run through the village and are brimming with wild trout which invite you to go fishing in a magnificent setting.

Many tracks around the village will lead you to various walking circuits or you can go into the woods looking for wild mushrooms, in a unique setting.

There’s children’s playground and a illuminated boules pitch in the village near the hotel.
